My Life (I Made The Video, Deff Had Help Posting It) =D

1. What have you included in this video? In this slideshow I have
included mostly pictures of people that I spend the most time with. I
included pictures of my family and friends, all the people that are
most important to my life. The song I included is called "unwritten" by
Natasha Bettingfield.

2. Explain how different parts of the video relate to your way of life?
Family and friends are two very important aspects of my life. Outside
of school and work which are important too, the people who actually
talk and help you through life and very significant. So the fact that
they were included shows that I appreciate them and recognize that they
are helpful and significant to me. The song I chose "unwritten" is
basically about how your life is unwritten. You live your life day by
day and you only you can experience your life for yourself. It’s about
how we make our own decisions and should take the time to just sit back
and think about life and appreciate it for the things we see as well as
the things we might miss. I believe that life is how we make it and is
based upon our decisions, realizations and the paths we go down, which
is why I chose that song.

3. What’s seems good about your way of life? What’s bad? What’s
neutral? I am very happy with certain aspects of my life such as the
fact that I have grown to be very independent and self efficient. What's
"bad" is the fact that nobody can ever have everything they want,
material objects as well as certain dreams/goals. Some aspects of life
seem so unattainable because of the way society is structured so I
guess that’s bad.

4. What would you have liked to have included, that is important to
your way of life, but weren’t able to? I would have liked to actually
make a video so I could show a live aspect of my life as I'm living it.
I would have also liked to include more aspects of my life like my job
my actual home life and school, which are places I spend a lot of time
at during my day.

ANALYSIS & INSIGHT
5. What’s going on with your way of life? What seems to be the general
pattern or direction or point or situation? Well society has already
molded the lives of many teens. Most of which in their younger years go
to school, come home do homework watch television go to bed at a
certain time, etc. I would say my life seems to be following the
general pattern of how a teenager is "supposed" to be living. I go to
school, work a part time job, and do homework. In a year will be in college
(more school of course erg) and hopefully striving to have my “own"
life separate from parental figure.

6. How do the good, bad, and neutral in your way of life fit together?
I would say that the good things in life make it worth living and give
everyone something to look
k forward to each day. If there was nothing in
life to brighten up someone's day then it would be a very gloomy and
unhappy world. The bad things in life challenge you to learn how to
overcome obstacles in life that are inevitable. Bad things in life can
also help appreciate what we have in life and to not take things for
granted. Sometimes people are so overwhelmed by the obstacles in life
that it is difficult to live a happy life but ultimately I would say a
mixture of happy things as well as sad or bad things shape your life
and the person you would grow up to be. Without one or the other I
think the world would be rather unbalanced. As for the neutral aspects
I would say since they are in the middle they kind of mesh into daily
life and are not as significant as the good or bad things in life.

7. Does your way of life seem like a “typical American Way of Life”?
Why or why not? I guess you could say I fit into the typical American
life. I watch television and have barbeques on the fourth of July which
could be defined as "typical American". There are certain things I
would identify as not being so American but for the most part I could
be put in that category.

8. What aspects of your way of life seem really interesting to you –
you’d like to think about them more deeply, figure out how this sort of
thing developed historically, what’s going to happen to this aspect of
your way of life within your lifetime? What questions do you have about
these really interesting aspects of your way of life?
How did it happen that I cannot do any “real” work and still live so
easily? Who is doing the real work for me? In what ways is my life now
reliant on complicated and ultimately fragile social arrangements?

I think that the fact that life changes so quickly is really
interesting. If you think back to when your parents were your age there
is a distinct difference in the way they lived. Certain things that are
accepted in today’s world would have been considered unfathomable. In
today’s world everyone goes to school for the most part in American at
least. At another point in time not everyone was allowed to go to school
for the reason of their skin color or gender or other discriminating
conditions. Now everyone is open to going to school as well as a lot of
other opportunities. As the years go by more and more school is required
to even make it in today’s society so it’s just interesting to see that in
one fragment of time school was not as important as working or raising a
family and now being educated is highly valued and is becoming20a
requirement to obtain a "successful" life.
